Pay Later Via EFT
If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, please press the pay later button. Please include your invoice number in banking details so we can find your payment. Please make sure you have ensured enough time for the payment to clear (usually 3 to 5 days) as payment needs to be received prior to delivery, unless you have arranged corporate credit terms with our office (note 7 day max for our corporate clients).
Can I pay by card?
Yes you can. You can do this when you check out by pressing pay by credit card at the point of check out.

Quotation
Following discussions for your forthcoming catering order with Your Private Chef you will receive a quote via email which will remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. If the event is altered in any way it may be necessary to change the original quote dependent on the changes made.
Prices
Prices are subject to change without any notice based on the increases in cost prices from suppliers, fuel, and changes to government legislation regarding taxation and charges to business, etc.
All prices are based on minimum quantities or minimum spends. We reserve the right to vary published prices where minimum quantities or minimum spends have not been met.
All published prices are inclusive of GST (goods and services tax), except when otherwise stated.
Delivery prices;
Delivery fee is based on distance travelled by our courier from our kitchen in Caulfield.
- Our shopping cart calculates standard catering delivery for a drop off only service. This involves meeting your driver to collect your catering at your loading bay or designated parking space. In rare cases our shopping cart may not recognise all postcodes and we will add this to your order once we calculate the fee. If you would like to know the delivery fee before placing your order please contact our office.
- A VIP delivery service is available at an extra fee and that involves your driver taking your catering inside for you.
- For events that involve staff and equipment hire a unique calculation will be done by our office that is specific to your event and we will add this to our quote,
Pick up is also an option – from our Caulfield kitchen.
Payment Terms
- 50% Deposit payable upon Booking to secure date for larger bookings over $1000 (only if you book more than 2 weeks in advance, otherwise for more last minute orders full payment should be made when placing your order_
- Balance payable – 10 days before Clients Booking date
- For smaller orders below $1000 or for orders placed within 7 days of your delivery, payment is required upon placing your order, unless prior business terms have been agreed upon for our corporate client.
- The team at Your Private Chef works fast and hard for its customers. As soon as you confirm an event, work begins to secure staff, source produce and most importantly to ensure the date is locked away for you. Once you have confirmed in writing or verbally you are locked into your catering commitment. Should you need to cancel your event the following cancellation policy applies:
- Outside 10 days of Booking date – 25% of Deposit will be forfeited
- Within 10 days of Booking date – 100% of Deposit is forfeited. No refund, due to provisions already ordered and prepared.
- Move date of Booking within 10 days of Booking date – Deposit is forfeited; unless approval given, in which case an Administration fees apply.
If you need to talk to management about extenuating personal circumstances, please do so and we may be able to arrange to hold your deposit for a future event.
All catering deliveries are considered confirmed as soon as the office has sent you a confirmation email and are considered legally binding to be paid.
Deposits and Booking
- Changes to Clients Booking can be done at any stage up to 10 days prior to the Booking date.
- Change in date and time
- Change to menu//location/hire equipment
- Final numbers will need to be provided to Your Private Chef 10 days prior to the Booking date.
- It is the Clients responsibility to confirm the run sheet/quote has the correct date and contact information. Your Private Chef take no responsibility for errors or omissions by the customer.
Event Cancellation Policy

Delivery Cancellation Policy
- Note that NO changes can be made to your delivery order within 3 business days of your delivery date, including postponement and cancellation for any reason as all food would have been ordered and preparation begun.
- If you need to change your delivery date within the week of your delivery, please call office on 0497333100 to discuss and make the change.
Balance Payments
Catering is required to be paid in full prior to delivery. If you have a corporate account with us, 7 day terms may be granted by prior approval. Longer terms are not available.
Change of location
If weather is an issue for your booking, we can redirect catering to a new location. Please give 24 hours notice for location changes via phone call 0497333100 to ensure we can do this. Additional delivery fee may apply if the new location is further away.
Checking your order confirmation is your responsibility
Please read through the order confirmation email that we send you and your invoice, taking special care to ensure details such as date, time, address and contact details are all correct as well. Please ensure we have a mobile number on file as well. Double check the menu and dietary requirements are all correct too.
Packaging
If you would like to hold onto our white temperature controlled boxes that we use for deliveries, a charge of $20 will apply. If you request ti hold onto the boxes at the time of delivery, we will automatically charge the box fee and expect payment or a return of the boxes in good condition within 7 days.
Miscellaneous
We reserve the right to charge any additional costs incurred including but not limited to car parking fees, damage to party equipment by event guests, additional items requested by the client.
